Hi all,

I already have 1 Sapphire r9 280x Vapor-X and was just wondering if I should get another one for crossfire or get the 780 ti?

-Is there a significant increase in performance?
-is it worth the price(780ti)?

Please advise,

Thanks

What motherboard and PSU do you have?

For that matter what are ALL of your specs?

Well since your build is completely set for Xfire. I would say go for that.

Then you would not need to struggle with selling your current card.

Good point. But should there be a significant increase in performance in favor of 780ti vs 280x crossfire? per say more than 10 fps?

Just beware that Crossfire and SLI isn't supported by all the games that are out there, but most games does support it.

Personally i would go for a 2nd R9 280x with the current setup you have. And no, in games that support CF, you should see equall if not more fps with 2x 280x's than a single 780 Ti would provide.

780 Ti will give you performance boost in all games and software since its a single more powerfull card, but its not a card where you get the "most bang for the buck". Its more for performance enthusiast. But its most definetly worth the price for those who want the best of the best. :)

You have the specs for either solution.
You will win FPS benchmarks with cf R9-280 cards.

The price you pay will be the usual dual gpu issues such as stuttering and screen tearing.
You will also have a noisier and hotter rig.

Unless you are gaming on triple monitors, or a 4k monitor, I would pick the GTX780ti which will do the job very well.
Yes, you will have to market the R9-280X.

Find your parts in used condition on ebay.
Then filter on completed auctions,
In green you will see what the part actually sold for.
