ViewSonic VX2270SMH -- Was flickering, should I RMA?

Yesterday, I walked away from my computer and when I came back, my screen was flickering, almost like my refresh rate was off. I hooked the monitor up to another computer and it was still doing it, then connected it via DVI and was still seeing it. So it was definitely the monitor.
Over the course of an hour, I seen it less and less and it eventually went away completely and it hasn't happened since.
I got an RMA number from Viewsonic but I have to pay for shipping... so my question is, is this something I should be worried about and get an RMA for or is this something that happens and I shouldn't worry about it?

i use a mini hdmi to my pc and i tried it on a micro hdmi to my laptop and then a dvi to my pc later on. all three gave the same results.
the weird thing is that the flickering just kind of faded away until it stopped... it looked like i had to degauss my lcd lol

I'm doing this from memory:
Motherboard: Foxconn 2AB1 (N-Alvorix-RS880-uATX) (pulled from an HP)
CPU: AMD Phenom X4 830
RAM: 14GB (4,4,4,2) 10600 DDR3 (Lenovo branded)
Video Card: EVGA GTX 560 TI
PSU: Corsair 620W
SSD: Corsair 120GB
HDD: WD 1TB

I don't understand your question :(
The monitor doesn't use a typical 3-pin computer power cable like most others I've seen. It uses a power brick connected by a barrel connector. The other end of the power brick is a 3-prong laptop-like cord

do you think i should confirm a solid connection and give it a week or so to see if it does it again?
I'd hate to spend $40 to ship it back to them if i don't need to.
