Hi Everybody i am facing a number of strange problems in my system at first my system is :-

Processor :Intel Core i7 3770
MB :Gigabyte P61a-d3
Ram :Corsair 8 GB 1 Dimm 1600 running at 1.5v
VGA: MSI HAWK GTX 560Ti
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2 TB Sata 3 interface + 3 TB Seagate Barracuda Sata 3 interface

1-Sometimes My PC freezes with no explainable reason at random times
2- sometimes the 2 hdds lose the connection with the MB & i have to turn off the PC the back on & everything works fine again .
3-i getting a lot of crc errors when using winrar the strange thing that lets say when i download anything using utorrent it comes as number of rar files when i unrar i get crc error when i check it with utorrent i find missing pieces of it when i check it again i find random missing pieces
4- when i install windows 8 / 8.1 these problems increase noticeably .
after various troubleshooting when i close every feature in the MB BIOS it works fine i mean when i switch from AHCI to IDE make every feature disabled then it works fine so if anybody could give me an answer to where is my problem specifically i will be most grateful

Solution
If your dealer does not replace the motherboard, you should contact Gigabyte directly. Gigabyte recalled all the B2-stepping 6-series motherboards and replaced them with B3-stepping motherboards.

This should not be an issue -- even in Egypt. You have enough to worry about. If the dealer does not comply, he will not be a Gigabyte reseller very long. Gigabyte was as aggressive as any other OEM in recalling the defective motherboards and replacing them with "B3 chipsets"

Simply using the SATA 3Gb/s connectors should fix your problem(s) and will not likely impact your overall system performance.

Sounds like a hard drive is on the way out (or a bad cable, or something on the motherboard that deals with the SATA ports).

Try disconnecting that hard drive and while disconnected see if the problems continue. If the problems stop - replace the drive. If they re-occur - that drive isn't the issue and you need to keep looking.

i dont think its the cable cause i tried several cables with the same result & i doubt the 2 hard drives has the same problem it could be like you said be the Marvell chip in the MB

I concur, sounds like a faulty MB and HDD. Replacements sound like your best option.
And that MB is pretty nice. Have you got the "k" model of the i7-3770 or just the base one?
