USB stick saying I don't have permission to save

If it was a password issue you would see a password prompt. It's much more likely to be a security issue related to who is allowed access the folder you are wanting to copy from.
Right-click the source folder and choose "Properties".
Click the "Security" tab.
Click the "Edit" button.
Highlight your user account.
Tick relevant permissions.
Click "OK"
