Random PC Shutdown, Any Suggestions?

Hello,

I built a PC about six months ago and have been upgrading it since. I have recently been suffering from random shutdowns when playing games. Even games like Minecraft, that are fairly low strain have been shutting off my PC. The shutdown doesn't do the usual "Shutting Down", but instead completely turns the PC off, like somebody pulled the power from the wall. Sometimes it automatically reboots, but that's not usual.

I'm fairly certain it isn't a heat issue as I have been monitoring my GPU's temperature. I also have all my windows open and a giant fan blowing into the side of my case, just for the added cooling (I know, I need water cooling...).

Specs:

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3
Memory: x2 Corsair 4GB DDR3 1600MHz XMS3 Memory
Video Card: EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Superclocked
Power Supply: CIT 660U Power Supply

Could it be something to do with my PSU not being good enough to power my GPU?

If anybody can give any tips at all, it would be great! I'm fairly new to this kind of stuff though, so please go easy.

Is there a budget PSU I would recommend? Not really. A problem most people face when upgrading is that they purchased a budget PSU in the first place. Don't skimp on this device, as your whole PC experience can hinge on it. Save up for it if you need to.

The 620W unit should provide sufficient headroom to upgrade to a stronger single card, or SLI another GTX 660. :)
If it was a well built power supply, you might be right to assume it sufficient to power your rig, but honestly, from what I can find, if you take both 12 volt rails and combine them, they only add up to 27 amps. That's not much, even for a cheap power supply. You're more than likely triggering the protection circuitry in your PSU, which at least appears to be working fine, and as such, off goes the supply. Replace it with a good, name brand supply, and you should be able to do as you please, and likely don't need the possible headaches of water cooling, either. :)

Thanks for the quick reply!

Are there any budget PSUs that you suggest investing in? I am on quite a low budget currently, but I can save up money if need be.

Those are great thanks! The 620W is only £42 (Roughly), so that's fine. Thanks for the help! :)
