First of all, I'm not a native english speaker, so please excuse any mistake I make.
My computer HDD died long ago, since then i've been using a bootable linux min usb, recently i bought a new HDD (seagate barracuda 7200.12), but when I try to install windows or any operative system, the installation setup does't detect the hard drive. However, when I run the operative system from the usb, it does detect it. I tried the bios and it also detected it.
Gparted and the BIOS says the hard disk is functional and works fine. Linux mint and ubuntu detect it as a hard drive, but whenever I try to install the os, it just won't detect it.
I have an Acer aspire 3203, 4 GB memory, mobo Acer (manufactured by foxconn) RS780HVF.
Please help me, I aprreciate your time.
