i found this in my regestry

Solution
Well you are almost there. Download IO uninstaller and Ccleaner. Run IO first and uninstall all programs you do use or are known to be evil. Delete everything from your temporary internet files from all your browsers. Then install and run Ccleaner. Make sure your virus protection is on because CCleaner might trigger remnants of your old viruses.

Lastly, consider reinstalling windows. If you have had to do a lot of malware and rootkits then it might just be much easier to start over.

good luck!

I would suggest following the instructions on the MS website. Try remove the offender with MS esentials and then have a look to see if the registry entry is still there. If so then your on the next step. But if not at least the registry is cleaned by MS Essentials, and won't potentially brick your install (if your not familiar with manually deleting registry entries.)

Maybe run ccleaner too, but back up the registry before using. I run it weekly and it will give you the option to delete specific registry entries if you so like. It also looks for other dead files and you can remove them too.

well to start i had a ransomware (FBI virus) on my pc so i started the pc in safe mode with command prompt and scanned the pc with mailware bytes (and deleted some unknown files) and it found the virus, and i was able to get back on the desk top BUT when i start the pc and it gets to the welcome screen it takes 1-2 minutes of loading (which is VERY slow for my pc. boot up time was 1 minute flat befor infection) then after the welcome screen is done loading it gose to a black screen for 1-2 minutes ( which is were the ransomware would ask for money) then the desktop loads. which i can start taskmgr and end explorer.exe then go to file New Task (Run...) and restart explorer.exe and the desktop will come up right away. so i thought may be there was something wrong in the regstry or that there might still be a part of the virus left. and my drivers dont start up with windows so i checked the srart up menu thing in widows but every thing was as it should e so i dont know why they arent starting

OK cool. Now I understand. Malware bytes probably missed some parts of the virus. You might want to restore to an earlier system setting that worked well. What I would do however is go to youtube and type in "Britec09" and FBI virus. He will have a video on how to completely remove it. If not then try "bleeping computer" forums. They will be able to tell you if that particular registry entry can be deleted.

Does your event viewer offer any insight as to why you are loading so slow?

i did every thin in the vid you said to watch and i still have the problem with the black screen and for some reason the system restore was never on :/ so i dont have any restore points and system repair dosent work because the version of windows is difrent from my install disc at least thats what it says so do you think that i could do an upgrade from my install disc? because what i am thinking is that it will reset windows back to that way it was like a fresh install but with out formatting my c drive and losing every thing.. because i wouldnt mind having to download some updates if it will fix it.... and as far as the event viewer i dont know ......and again thank you for your time
