My ram is the kingston http://www.kingston.com/datasheets/KHX1600C9D3_4G.pdf

i have 2 kits so 16 gb total and they have been running at 1333mhz so today after reading on this forum i did figure out how to put them to 1600mhz using the DOCP profile since i dont have xmp profile and it set my ram to 9-9-9-24 timings and it did bsod my computer as i played a full round titanfall no problems then a round bf4 no problems but when the match ended and i did click quit game i got bsod.

So after that i went back into the bios and did put the 24 timing to 27 as it says it sould be and the voltage was at 1.65v

But now the pc is overall stable but when i play titanfall the game will crash.

i did just run occt and after about 2 minutes it crashes and says error my cpu is not overclocked and it uses about 7,5 gb ram under the test, i have the results from occt if needed.

i did notice while running occt that my cpu only goes to 4 ghz and not the 4,1 ghz as it normaly runs at when full loaded it can be on that when i dont run the test but once its on full load it only stays at 4ghz idk if it changed some other settings in bios when i did enable the docp.

i have not yet checked the voltage for CPU/NB as i got suggested in a a other post to put the CPU/NB voltage to 1.2v

here is the link to the other post for more info

the fx-8350 should be able to run any ram speed from what i know and my motherboard supports up to 1866mhz ram without overclokcing

the system did raise the ram voltage from 1.5v to the 1.65v that is sugested everything was fine except the last timing that it put to 24 that should be 27 as i did change it too and its still unstable in games only tested titanfall so far but it had no problems before i started to get the ram to be at 1600mhz as it been on 1333mhz before for about 2 years havent never really checked it until latley but been to bussy to start putting the ram to 1600 mhz and as both the ram is 1600mhz and my mobocpu supports it and all timings and everything is as it says on kingston's site idk why its unstable

i did post cpu-z pictures

i have now set it back to 1333mhz and occt runs stable now again the cpu is still on 4ghz most the time sometimes 4,1 and jumps down to 3,4 ghz now and then but it is stable and no errors. temperatures is solid 49 degrees.

So idk why 1600mhz wont work or if i have something set wrong

Check what the tRFC is at and let us know, also prob want the CPU/NB at 1.25 and normally would raise the DRAM voltage + 0.05, these though are spec 1.65 sticks, so can try at 1.7 if needed....if no joy then might start thinking about getting a good set of 1.5 sticks, 1.65 for entry level 1600/9 sticks is too much, over 90% of all 1600 sticks (even high performacnce CL 7 and 8 sticks are at 1.5 or less)

what is the max safe voltage for my ram and what is the max safe voltage for the cpu/nb?

i wont be buying new ram now because its pretty expensive and i would not gain any real peformance over my ram atm even if i run it at 1333mhz but it just sucks that if it is 1600mhz ram it is suposed to run at that speeds.

the ram was at 9-9-9-27-36 and 1.65v the rest i dont know right now because im at work so cant check.

Hi, I'm Jewel with Kingston Technical Support and would like to offer our assistance. Both your CPU and motherboard should have no issue running the HyperX memory at DDR3-1600 9-9-9-27 @1.65V. I did not find this setting in the manual for your motherboard but with the ASUS AITweaker there is a setting called "Extreme OV" which needs to be enabled to allow the memory to work at a higher voltage with the CPU memory controller. Also, how you have the memory plugged into the computer can make a HUGE difference, especially when overclocking. Per your motherboard manual the memory is recommended to be inserted into slot A2 and B2 which should be the blue colored slots. For any further information or assistance, feel free to call us at 1-800-435-0640 (USA and Canada only) M - F 6am - 6pm PT and I or another available Technician will assist you. Please be sure to have the part in question on hand when you call.

Thank you for selecting Kingston as your upgrade partner.
