SSD about to fail?

I decided I was going to overclock my 3570k today and I was installing the Intel extreme tuning utility. I left for a minute and when I came back the screen was black with a message saying to select a boot device.

I restarted and got the same thing, restarted again and went into the boot device menu but my SSD was not listed, only the hard drive and the dvd drive. I had to leave so I just shut it down and when I came back an hour later it started up fine and I installed the utility.

Is this a bad sign or just a fluke? I use a g.skill 240gb ssd, I've used it for just over a year now with no issues until today.

Solution
this is a common problem with ssd's that disappears when the pc is shut down and powered on again normally.

some motherboard/laptop manufacturers have fixed the issue with a bios update.

Thank you, good to know, I'll check if there's any new driver updates for my motherboard.
