CPU - Phenom ii X6 1055t
Mobo - gigabyte ga-m68m-s2p rev 3.0

Straight forward question, I was about to buy the HyperX Blu, but its 1.65v as is the Genesis. The PnP is 1.5v. Is it OK to run 1.65v rated RAM in my mobo??? I dont mind running it at 1333mhz, I think that may be max on my mobo anyway.

I would like to OC at some point (may need new mobo for this, x6 multiplier is locked so need to clock by increasing FSB, not working at all so far), which RAM would be best suited for this?

Hi, I'm Jewel with Kingston Technical Support and would like to offer some clarification. All HyperX memory runs on a default JEDEC standard specification usually DDR3-1333 9-9-9 @ 1.5V and sometimes DDR3-1600 11-11-11 @ 1.5V. HyperX Blu would default to DDR3-1333 9-9-9 @ 1.5V and would not go any faster unless manually changed by selecting the XMP profile or changing the timings in the BIOS. In short, the memory will work without an issue. For any further information or assistance, feel free to call us at 1-800-435-0640 (USA and Canada only) M - F 6am - 6pm PT and I or another available Technician will assist you. Please be sure to have the part in question on hand when you call.

Thank you for selecting Kingston as your upgrade partner.

Interestingly I asked Kingston this question, this is the response 'Thank you for contacting Kingston Technology.

The Hyper X Blue RAM are specified for 1.5V..........' which just confuses me more :/ cos all the Blu Ive looked at says 1.65v (is that just a max?)

1.5 for mobo defaults, with loose CLs, spec on most for their advertised specs of 1600/9 is 1.65, why I don't know, almost all 1600 DRAM 85+ % is 1.5 or lower, why they continue with these 1.65 sticks is unknown to me, have asked many times and never been given a clear answer, same to why they advertise the 1600/9 as low latency/ high performance, 1600/9 is entry level, CL 7 or even 8 is low latency/high performance
