I installed belkin n300 wireless adapter on my windows 7 system desktop, but I get no connection are available. I can connect

Downloaded the latest drivers - same thing here. Re-installed Windows7 from scratch and installed the Belkin driver first. Now the belkin works but the on-board one doesn't - has something to do with the second wireless adapter being installed.
