I'm having a bit of a problem with my new build.
500W coolmax psu
m5a967 r2.0 mobo
amd fx6300 6 core cpu
radeon zotak 2gb gpu
WD 2 TB HDD
win 7 64bit
corsair ddr3 4GB
No display or post beeps after installing new processor.
I've been piecing this together over the last few months. The last two things to be replaced were the motherboard, followed by the cpu. First I bought the new motherboard as the old one had died. my AMD Phenom II proc worked great with this build, until it died, a month after the original mobo did.
Everything in this build worked fine with the phenom II. When I got the fx6300, I tried it out..with no success. I updated the BIOS using the usb Flashback feature on the new mobo...And still get no display or post.... Could the motherboard have killed my old chip, or vice-versa?
