Does XBOX 360 Controllers that come with xbox 360 have recievers?

I was thinking that i could use my friend's xbox 360 controllers to play on my PC. Does his wireless controllers that came with the XBOX 360 have the recievers? Or do I have to buy the recievers for the PC seperately?
I dont know this because i do not have an XBOX 360 myself.

You need to buy an adapter this is the one I got but it was cheaper then. just plug it in and pair your controllers.

No they don't the adapter is built into the Xbox so you don't need it for the 360. I haven't tried to use more than onwe but it is supposed to support up to four at the same time.

Dang.. Do microsoft still make wired controllers then? Because I dont wanna spend 50 on a controller and like 20 on a reciever lol.
Do you use AA batteries? How long do they last before it dies?
Also, If you have a play and charge kit, Can you use the wire instead?

Yes there are still wired controllers little harder to find than they used to be. Just AA batteries they usually last a couple of months before they die. I don't know about the play and charge kit I'll see if I can find anything though.

Oh okay last question, are wired controllers REALLY hard to find now? Or just a little harder than wireless?
Im in Canada BC if that helps.
I am planning to go to EB Games, Future Shop, Best Buy to buy a wired controller.

Not sure about Canada but at least here in the US they are not much harder its more like there will be 10 wireless and 1 wired on the shelf type thing. There are still a bunch of them online though new and used if you can't find any.

I'd recommend a wired controller, purely because the games that support XInput (native PC support for the Xbox 360 controller) don't necessarily support the wireless version. Newer games won't have a problem, but some older games will.

Nope no back-lite on the Microsoft controllers.
