Will Power Line Ethernet work on additional new wiring?

Hello,

I have a two story home and my router is upstairs. I currently serve network connectivity to my downstairs bedroom using a power line kit. It works great! I am adding a shed to the back of the house. We are running NEW electrical wiring straight from the main breaker box. Will power line networking work in this scenario allowing me to connect my upstairs router to my outside shed?

Solution
No it will be fine the 2 hot circuits are just carried out to your shed I assume you are going to put a new power panel in the shed and have 110 outlets there too. It will work best if you can figure out which of the 2 circuits your device in the house and put it on a breaker that is on the one.

Generally it will work on any breakers combination it just would have to go all the way out to the transformer on the street and back in some cases. The thing it will not do is go through the transformer to the high voltage side and back though another transformer.
It should work. Pretty much if you can trace a path between the devices without going back out though the power meter to the street it will work. If you are using 110 power it would be best if both devices were on the same hot lead coming from the street but it will work across them just not as well. If you are using 220 then it does not apply.

Well the house, or at least the plugs I use are 110. Shed is going to be 240v. Will it still work or should I have them wire a separate 110 circuit to the shed?

There will be a new sub panel with 2 30a breakers running 240 outlets to the shed. In the shed will be PDUs )power distribution units that will have standard plugs. But since I dont think a power line network adapter will work through a surge protector/pdu, I guess I should have a 110 outlet added specifically for that.
