I asked earlier about a build for editing and gaming based around this CPU, I was told from my friend who gave it to me (free), it is was going to work perfectly fine. But Seeing as no one has offered any suggestions, should I buy another CPU instead and just sell this one? I got it still in the box (unopened) and I know I wouldn't have a problem selling it if that's the case.

More about : intel xeon 1245 quality

IF its free keep it. It is a VERY powerful CPU. More powerful even than an i5 4670k.

If you sell it, expect 10%-25% less than what it costs new.

Then why wont anyone recommend a build for it. I figured with a $1500 budget I would get a lot of responses.

Probably because people just aren't clicking your thread.

What do you need for the $1500? Monitor/OS?

Pretty much everything but the CPU, including all the peripherals and yes a monitor and OS. Plus I also asked about referring me to a desk and chair if possible, but I dont have to get those until I get paid in 2 weeks.

This will be perfect for professional editing and gaming at MAX settings. I left some free budget space for you to pick a keyboard/mouse and other stuff.

Thank you. Will those websites ship directly to my apartment, because I wont have a vehicle to drive any ware for a few days, and I want to begin building as soon as possible. Also one last thing, my teacher recommended win 7 Ultimate, since it works better with the video editing software, but would win 8.1 be better. Or could I even go 8.1 Pro?

You must order each part individually from its respective webiste. They will ship them to you.

I would definitely go with windows 8.1 64-bit.

Ok Ill go with win 8.1, and I know I have to order them separately, but I have been told that Outlet PC will only ship to you if you live near a local store (which I don't). So I was just wondering if when I order them, I wont have to go far (if at all) to get the parts.

No that is 1000% false. Whoever said that is a liar. EVERYTHING you buy will ship to your door.
