Okay I will be replacing a GT 640 with a GTX 750 Ti. I was wondering the steps, I have seen many tutorials but I have two questions.

1. Do I need to uninstall the drivers since I am pretty sure they use the same nvidea drivers? I dont want to make this anymore complicated than it is.

2. Can I just take out my old one, put in the new one and start up the pc and its done?

Solution
Uninstall all the drivers for nvidia. Before you uninstall switch the graphics to intel so your pc doesnt go through a sudden change. Heres a guide http://ucdavistechtalk.wordpress.com/2012/05/29/how-to-switch-between-intel-graphics-and-nvidia-with-optimus/. Now that you have switched to intel graphics, take out your 640 and put in the 750ti. LEAVE YOUR COMPUTER OFF WHEN TAKING OUT THE 640 AND PUTTING IN THE 750TI!!!! Once you are done plugging in all the power cables and stuff into the 750ti, turn on your computer and run the driver cd if it comes with one. If it doesnt, switch the graphics from intel back to nvidia.

For the first questions, I recommend you just uninstall so the 750ti can run as if it were a new computer and then it will tell you what you need to download. For the second question, yes you can just take it out, put in the 750ti, adjust settings on your computer and download the drivers and then you are done.
