Hello internet, I appreciate any help I can get with this. I lost my windows 7 home premium disk but I have a product key and for the life of me I can not find anywhere that has a legal version of just the OS. I have the key already and I need an ISO to burn to a disc but I can not find one anywhere other than a website like thepiratebay or something. I do not know where I could find a legit ISO and if anyone knows, help would be nice. Also, given that I had the key, is it safe to download a pirated version/would one of those take my key?

Sorry about the links, I had this bookmarked and did not bother to check them. You could try this one, but it looks a bit dodgy...

There you go: http://www.w7forums.com/threads/official-windows-7-sp1-iso-image-downloads.12325/

If you were to, theoretically, get an iso from a non-official source, look for retail versions, without any "extras" included. Those would no doubt work with your key, as they are a 1:1 copy from the CD.

well after shaming Microsoft support staff for a couple hours, I got up to the guy that ran the place that ran the place that outsourced their help centers to find out their servers were down. I would not recommend calling their support if you know anything, because they seem to get rather angry when you know more than they do.
