Is there any way to transfer files form one HDD to another whilst both HDD's have an OS on them? If not, is there a way to transfer files from one computer to another not using the internet? I want to transfer very large files and dont want to have to downlaod from the source again.

I have never tried doing this. I would try this. Plug your hdd with files to be copied into your system. Boot into bios and check the settings. Make sure it is set to boot from your systems drive. You may have to make some some changes in device manager, I'm not sure, like I said, never tried it before. Somebody else here may know

My puter is set up with two drives that both have an OS on them one for daily use and one just for benchmarking. I switch in the bios when I go from one to the other by altering the boot drive priority.

If I follow correctly what you can do is remove the drive with the files you wish to transfer and plug it into the puter where you want the transfer to end up. Boot, your bios will most likely select the drive it always does to boot from and once in select the your folder(s) copy and paste where you want them. When I do that I access the folder I want through the "user" folder in the drive content index.
