Hello. I just bought these components as an upgrade.
- AMD fx 6300 6 core processor
- ASUS M5A97 LE R 2.0 motherboard
- AMD r9 270x 2gb XFX GPU

Items im using from the old build
- Windows 7 64 bit
- 1tb WD HD
- 8gb of 1333mhz ram dual channel
- COOLERMASTER 500 watt psu

The build i was coming from was an
intel core i5 650 and a AMD asus 7770 gpu with the other items above.

I put everything together wiring and all. Saw that the mobo was getting power. It when threw post but then would blue screen and restart. I tried doing windows repair but that got me nowhere. Now it wont even start. It gets power to everything but wont display at all. I tried swapping out the ram and sata cables and that got me nowhere also. Im stuck in a rutt and cant figure out what to do. Any suggestions? Maybe one the 3 parts I bought broke??? Thanks in advance for the help.

Solution
I would try resetting the CMOS to see if you can get into the BIOS. If you can get to that point then you will need to do a fresh install of your OS. This troubleshooting checklist may be helpful in figuring out why the system won't POST.

You can not just change out parts and expect it to work.
First, you will need to reinstall Windows. Windows was configure for the last system and will not work on the new one.
You system is messing up when Windows it trying to load right?
If so that is because Windows is not configured to work on your system.
Happy Computing! :)

What error are you getting?

Okay so after everything was in. I turned on the pc. It Immediatley brought me to bios then i booted from the harddrive and thats when it would crash. I would see "starting windows" and then it would blue screen really quickly and that would take me into start windows normally or start windows repair. I tried doing windows repair and it could not do that. Now when i power it on nothing appears on display. Feels like pc is just in idle mode.

THANKS NATE AND SHORT FOR ALL YOUR HELP! I fixed the system this morning. I completley tore it down and put it all back together double checking myself as i go. I belive it was a faulty sata or maybe bad wiring lol. Anyways i swapped out that sata and i could get it to post. Everything is working fine now. Cant wait to play some games on my new rig. Thanks again guys!
