Moving HDD to a new PC

Hi experts!, Inexperienced guy here :D. I want to move my old HDD (ST1000DM 003-9YN162 SATA Disk Device, btw) to a new pc. So, what I have to do is just format the HDD right? Then just install an OS on the new pc? Is there anything more that I should take notice of?

If you plan on using the old HDD as a boot drive, then just make sure to set your boot device to USB or CD/DVD depending on your Windows installation method. And then you just format the drive during Windows installation process.
Make sure to get the latest drivers from manufacturer's website.
