Hey guys!
So I want to upgrade my graphics in some way.

1 option is to get a 760 now, and then get another later.

Another option would be to get a 770, plain and simple.

The last option would be to get something like the Arctic VGA Cooler and replace it with the cooler I have right now on my 7870 since all I don't like about it is it's noise.

Thanks in advance!

I always go with a 1 card solution unless you're looking at the highest end cards and need more performance. It is a much more simple of a set up and when you think it out for performance, price and longevity, single cards are the smarter choice.

Okay, so should I just get a new 770 or wait for the 800 series or replace the cooling unit for my 7870 since Mantle is coming out.

I would get an EVGA 770. If the 800 series comes out in 90 days you can upgrade and just pay the difference in price. If it comes out after then it was probably worth to upgrade as waiting 3 months is a long time. That being said the 7870 isn't a bad card so if it can tide you over until the 800 series then go with that.

Thanks for the feedback!

By the way, when you said I could just "pay the difference in price", did you mean I could sell the 770 and then buy the 800 series card or is there a thing where you can get a discount by trading in your graphics card or something?

And what are your opinions on something like this: http://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-Accelero-Graphics-Backside...
I'm worried it won't be compatible with my 7870 because it has a "Ghz" on their website.
Are there any differences for screw holes n' stuff between a 7870 and a 7870 XT or Ghz version?

when you use their step up program, you just show them a receipt showing what you pay, you send them your current card and then you pay whatever the difference is between your old card and the one you're stepping up for.

I don't think it'd be worth buying a cooler if you plan to upgrade shortly.
