Hi! I recently bought an alienware 14 (r3) with nvidia gtx 765m graphics card. The problem is that when I tried to manually switch the graphics card in use from integrated switching to discrete graphics by pressing fn+f5 (i/d gfx) (the process requires a reboot - but then after restarting), the laptop does not recognize any graphics card (intel and nvidia) when I checked on the display properties on dxdiag. I also checked on the device manager but the 2 graphics card does not appear on the display adapters. The dxdiag was supposed to show only the nvidia gtx765m as the graphics card running but instead it shows nothing. Please help me on this matter. Thanks.

Yes, the built-in gfx card and gtx 765m should work along side with each other by using the optimus integrated switching. However, in Alienware they also have the option wherein you could just disable the built-in gfx card and use only the gtx 765m - and that's the problem. Whenever I go for that option, my laptop does not recognize any video card after the reboot. I have just installed BF4 but I haven't tried playing because of my busy sched. The game may work with no lag as long as the nvidia optimus does its work of automatically switching from integrated to discrete gfx card. But I just want to be able to manually disable the integrated gfx in case the automatic switching does not work.
