Hi all,

I have a 4 gb pen drive. There is no data in the pen drive, it shows empty folder. But in properties it shows 3.76 GB used space.

I have tried multiple methods like tried almost everythign available online. Tried to list out hidden file, but there are no hidden files in the folder. There is no virus as I have already scanned it.

I tried to format it, but it doesn't get completely formatted. At 100% format stat it shows an error something like "Windows can't complete the error". In command prompt it shows "Invalid Data" or something like this.

I don't want to recover the data. I just want to recover my USB device so I can reuse it. Can anyone help please?

Thanks in advance

Looking forward to possitive & possible solution.

I have done nothing :(  just used it in windows then plugged it in Fedora. I tried to do cut paste, but folders were not moving so I tried to format it. Initially it was showing error and not getting formatted. Then when I replugged it, folder was empty message was there in USB drive, but 3.76/4 GB was used space :(
