Is fm2 and fm2+ the same thing?

Im having trouble putting a corsair liquid cpu cooler H60 on.

I have a fm2+ mobo but the box says it takes fm2, doesn't say fm2+.

So are they the same thing?

In relation to your question, which I assume is about coolers.

A cooler that fits on FM2 will fit on FM2+ so it's odd you're having a hard time.

FM2+ itself is an updated motherboard that will take socket FM2 CPU's and FM2+ CPU's whereas FM2 motherboards only take FM2.

dangh.. fm2+ is just rebranded socket of the fm2 yet fm2+ motherboards will fit in fm2 processors, same as fm2 + processors will also fit in fm2 motherboards, there was some sort of "marketting strattegy" on that basis.
