Hi,

I bought two ASUS Radeon R9 290 DirectCU II, and I put these cards into the mainboard. Firstly, everything seemed to be OK, but it starts to freeze. A new windows was installed, bios was updated, and i dont know what i can do. I tried it with another PSU, it freezes. I tried it in another mobo, worked fine.

What is the problem with my motherboard? It always freezes with 0xa0000001 error code. (this is vga driver error, but i tried with 5 amd drivers)

Thx your answers in advance.

Did you try moving them around on the motherboard to different pci express slots? Did you by any chance use IE or Firefox? I have a litecoin mining rig that uses an asrock motherboard as well as 3 of the 290's. I noticed when ever I used firefox with hardware acceleration I noticed it would blue screen and crash. Try disabling hardware acceleration in firefox or EI if you use it. Did you also try using the new feature of not having to use the bridge connector for the cards?

It freezes in all of PCI-Expess slots, with all browsers (IE, Chrome, Firefox) randomly. Do you use an Asrock mb with Z68 chipset?
"Did you also try using the new feature of not having to use the bridge connector for the cards?" -> On these cards there are no bridge connenctors.

You might want to try an asrock support forum, I think you might find more asrock users there. you can find that forum here http://forums.tweaktown.com/asrock/ I am guessing it is something simple like hardware acceleration, you can go here and get details about chrome hardware acceleration. Although it should be disabled by default unless they changed it recently. you can look into that here http://www.webupd8.org/2014/01/enable-hardware-acceleration-in-chrome.html
