Am I missing out when I have a PCIe 3.0 card but a 2.0 motherboard?

My mother board (Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3) has a PCIe 2.0 slot, but most cards now are 3.0. Am I missing out bigtime by having a 2.0 slot on my motherboard?

Also if anyone can link me to some motherboards that have a 3.0 slot that would be great.

I've seen performance tests, and there's at most a 3 fps difference in games. None of the 3.0 cards even take advantage of it yet, you're not missing out.

Lucky enough for you, pcie slots are backwards compatible and without showing distinct differences like mentioned above. A 3.0 gpu can fit into a 2.0 mobo and a 3.0 mobo supports a 2.0 gpu.
