Cooler Master hyper 212x on Asus M5A97 LE R2.0

I want to install CM's Hyper 212x for my Processor AMD FX-8350 and I have a Micro ATX board Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 so the question is will I be able to install it on this motherboard as it is smaller in size and will the rams get space after I install it? Or is it a bit tall for it?

  1. Hi Sumit Das ,
That is a difficult question to answer without knowing what profile ram you are using , low profile or ram with a high heatsink
why not buy a small AIO cooler ( all in one ) like

a little more expensive but will keep much cooler
that is only an example , depends on what size your rear fan is 120mm or 140mm , have no idea what your case is , but something like this will certainly not get in the way of your ram

My budget is pretty low isn't there any lower priced alternative around the price of Hyper 212X?
And my Rams are without heatsink I guess because they do not having those awesome looking coating(those are the heat sinks for Rams I guess) They aren't present on my rams. Please do tell me if there is any other cheaper alternative like Hyper 212X but takes less space.

    Thank you.

This is a cheaper option and should work fine for you and will match your board and almost half the price

Those small air coolers are not much better than stock cooler but with your budget and wanting to spend less
this is an alternative that will fit on your board without interfering with your ram

Woh yes this one is really cheap and might really fit my board but I if I Leave a Ram slot unused it might not bother me so is Gammaxx 300 is better than 212x (not evo)? becuase I heard alot about 212 evo not about 212x and gammaxx... so I will buy an air cooler which is cheap and reliable and really thank you for telling me about the alternative.

So which one should I pick out of the two Gammaxx 300 or Hyper 212x?

    Thank you
  5. The best way to make up your mind is to look online for reviews on these coolers on youtube or google , not sure which is best for you as i have
never used any of these coolers and given your price range you are limited to low end coolers . gammaxx was simply a suggestion for a cheaper cooler that will suit your board and not interfere with your ram, i dont really see there being a huge difference between them , so your choice will be based on personal preference for you.
