Whether you use a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows will have no effect on the amount of memory dedicated to the on-board video. You can modify the amount of memory dedicated for video in your BIOS, but only up to the limit the laptop is designed to support.

You really need to consider upgrading to a system with a dedicated (not integrated) GPU. I don't recommend trying to use one of the kludged external GPU configs that many have used. Really not worth the cost/effort in my opinion, even if you can get to work with your current rig.

I don't think so. It should only be taking like 300 mb of memory regardless with Aero turned on. All the 64 bit would allow is for your Operating system to utilize more than 4 gigs of ram.

64-bit would just increase the capacity of the amount of RAM your operating system can handle. 32-bit's maximum RAM capacity that can be used, even if you have 32GB installed for instance, is 4GB. However, if you are using less than 4GB of RAM, and have no intention of upgrading beyond 4GB, the best choice would be the 32-bit, because of more driver support. Aero uses about 128MB of VRAM off of your graphics card, and 1GB of memory as well to run when using Windows Vista, 7, or 8.
