Hi ,
In the ATA/ATAPI -6 spec, what is the need of pull down resistor on DD7? When I connect the HDD as a master to the ATA interface, i can able to see it in the PC but when i connect the jumpers to make it as a slave it is detected in PC.(in my hardware there is no pull down initially).After I connect the pull down I could able to see the device(in slave mode) in PC. So I want to know why this pull down is required?
