I would like a sound card for gaming and listening to music. I got a razer headphone. Did anyone used any of the sound cards before. Can u tell me which one is better?

Solution
The price difference between the two cards is $60 with the Creative card being more expensive and you get the same features with both cards. When using headphones you can't get 5.1 or 7.1 , there are only two speakers in a headphone. I have the Asus card and I have onboard audio on the MB and with headphones there isn't much difference in sound quality you only notice a difference if you set up a 7.1 speaker system.
I have the Asus Xonar STX and it is a very good sound card. I don't think that there is much difference between the two and it's just a brand preference , both are top quality.
Because the Asus card I have now performs flawlessly I would go with the Asus Xonar.

Does your Razer Headphones have a USB connection or 3.5mm jack?

The head phone a 3.5 headphone jack. But what's with the 2.1 thingy. Doesn't the card comes with 7.1 surround? Does creative use better gaming optimized chip than Asus?
