Just wanted to get some opinions

1) My computer Sunday first started acting up by having the Ethernet port all of a sudden not work. Any time I plug the cable into the back of the computer I have no light, and my computer doesn't recognize that. Figured I would just get a PCI Ethernet card to fix the situation and use a USB WiFi stick for the next couple days.

2) Started getting BSOD's out of nowhere when I never had any issues before. The computer would just shut down at various times, running different programs. I ended up (and now regretting) re-formatting my hard drive and re-installing Windows, hoping that would solve the problem. Turned out that wasn't the issue, as the BSOD continued last night once I reformatted the entire hard drive.

3) Around 9 PM last night, my computer had another BSOD and this time would not start. No beeps, just a black screen. Tried resetting the BIOS and had no luck, tried various memory stick options with no luck. I basically had it down to my hard drive, CPU, power supply and still had nothing. I'd like to assume its the motherboard mainly because of that Ethernet issue I was having. Maybe the board was starting to go and just finally went last night? Figured I would get some opinions before purchasing a new one. I suppose the power supply could be another option, but that Ethernet port really makes me believe its the motherboard. Thanks in advance!

if you get into bios you could disable Ethernet. I'd lean towards mobo too initially, as well. Remove any extra sticks of ram and re-seat the one left. remove everything connected to mobo except display and psu. Reboot.
