I currently own a GeForce GTX-670 2GB GPU and wish to upgrade the rest of my PC.
I have been looking at the Intel Core i7-4770K for the processor I wish to get and was wondering which motherboard would be best for both of these?
I wish to upgrade my RAM in the future from 8GB to 16GB too, as I mainly play games and design and compile code for my current course. And as I am Uni student my budget is rather tight so hopefully anything under £100, or if possible suggest a cheaper CPU and a more expensive motherboard, I'm hoping in total it will be less than £300, but a little over wouldn't be too much of a problem (used to living off noodles by now..)
I do play games such as Battlefield 4 and want to play ROME total war 2 in the future, so playing these on high 1080p would be lovely.
Thanks for your time and help.

Solution
i7 isn't needed, and neither is the Hero. The i5 is plenty powerful, even for dual 670s if you SLI in the future, which this board is more than capable of doing.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor (£166.99 @ Amazon UK)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (£97.99 @ Amazon UK)
Total: £264.98
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)
