I'm looking at building a new pc system (specs can be found here: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/3fO3K) but I don't know what psu to get? I do plan to overclock with the help of my mate. I want it either semi or fully modular but I don't know if there's any damage to it being to powerful. Thanks for your help :)

Corsair (non CX series), Antec, Seasonic or XFX. If the budget allows look for a Gold rating. At the moment you may find the better deals with XFX or Seasonic. 550w is fine, but up that to 750w if you wand to add a second GPU down the road.

As a side note... Why the HD 7870 with that build? Fine and all for a single monitor, but unless prices are way up look toward newer tech with the the GTX 760 or R7 270.

Thank you that helps a lot, i was planning on having dual monitor of on revision I might have to stick to one monitor so I will look at the newer GPU :)

The 7870 will be fine with two monitors, Windows does most of the work unlike Surrond or Eyefinity.
