Does faster ram cause overheating?

Say i upgraded a 1333mhz to a 1866mhz.

I keep reading online that APU's eat up memory for gaming. So does 16gb and 8gb really make a difference then?

I have an A8 6600 quad core CPU APU to be more specific. I dont plan on getting a video card at the moment. I'm only playing TF2 and CS1.6 .

You definitely don't need 16GB for gaming. I think what you might have been reading is that APUs like faster RAM. Faster RAM only causes overheating if it takes big amounts of over-volting to get you there. There is RAM that is at 2133 an 2400 that doesn't overheat, and you would see much better gaming performance out of it compared to 1333 or 1600.
