So I'm just waiting on my PSU, cooler and case to finish this rig. Rather light gaming (BF3, BF2 Project Reality), schoolwork, and F@H just for fun when it's not being used.

CPU: i7-3770 (from my previous Dell)
Cooler: Noctua U9B se2
Mobo: Z77 Extreme3 (i already have)
RAM: 8GB (2x4GB DDR3-1600 CAS 11, from the Dell)
GPU: GT 640 GDDR5 (full GK107, 5GHz 128-bit DDR5 like GTX650, from the Dell)
SSD: Intel SSD 530 240GB (i already have)
HDD: Barracuda 2TB (i already have, from teh Dell)
PSU: Seasonic G series 550W (SSR-550RM)
Case: Corsair 450D/ NZXT H440

I'm open to suggestions on the PSU, cooler and case. Is 550W too much? Should I get the H440 while it's in stock (just came back in stock yesterday night lol, probably won't last a week) or wait till April for the 450D?

Solution
550w is a good wattage to have (should be able to run any single card system) and seasonic is the best brand to get.

I would recommend a new gpu since the 640 will probably start struggling with newer games soon but if you are ok with it then that is what matters :). If you are interested in a new gpu the ones i would recommend are the gtx 750 ti for $150 and the gtx 760 for $250.

Also do you need a cpu cooler? I dont think your 3770 can be overclocked (no k) so the stock cpu cooler should be enough. if you are interested in getting a cpu cooler but no OC then I would recommend the Cooler Master 212 Evo~ $30, it is a great cooler for the price.

For the case, that is all personal preferance :)

Yeah, I picked the G series for the new platform, chemi-con caps, semi-modularity and 80+ gold. I'm finding that it's the only one of its kind in terms of performance to price, but I could be wrong.

Eh...F@H runs CPU at 100% all the time, and although I technically have the intel stock cooler, Dell took the heatsink and slapped one of their shitty case fans on it so it's even worse than stock. I'm averaging around 78°C across all cores, so I would prefer lower temps. 3770 is technically partially-locked, so I'll lock it to 3.9 quad core turbo as soon as I get it built. That should be enough heat to warrant a 212 Evo or U9B.

The reason I picked the U9B was because the 450D has very little CPU cooler clearance, and it's a bit lighter than the EVO.
