I want to force install a copy of OSX on an empty harddrive in my PC and im having a hard time getting it to work (as in install to where i want it)

What kind of PC do you have? IF your running AMD it would be extreamly hard. If you are running intel I'd also suggest you only have the drive you wish to install it to plugged in as well during the time of the install.

its a custom built one, i7 2600k@5.2 ghz 32gigs of ram oced to 2133mhz three gtx680 classifieds and a 650ti

will it work? can i install it on another comp and just plug the HDD into this comp?

Yea your setup should work. Just make sure you follow the instructions here

and again when you install it its best if you have ONLY the empty drive you want to install it to installed. Then once its installed you can plug everything else back in and then just select which you want to boot to from your boot menu.
