help please!, black screen

Hey. My screen suddently just went black here a few days ago!. And im writing this (ON MY COMPUTER?!!?!?!) Yea!. I know its weird!, but when i type on the two screen things on the left for the close thing, there is just black!. PLEASSE HELP ME FIX THIS!, I WANT MY PROGRAMS BACK!!!!!
(NOTE, IM ON WINDOWS 8!)

Press Start and find Run. Write in dxdiag and click ok. You should find the graphics card there.

Hmm.. If you bought your computer at the store you should go there and say its defect. It should have warranty. If you have a self build computer you should contact the company where you bought the graphics card from and tell its defect. you will get a new one or get your money back if it still has a warranty. The computer screen can also be damaged. Can you post a picture of the screen? Hope this helps :)
