They're both good cards with identical specs. If you are an avid O/C'er, you may get the Asus a bit higher with its Direct CU II cooling. I've used both manufacturers cards over the years with no issues at all. I have just installed the R9-290X version of the Asus Direct CU II card in my system, but it is too early to evaluate the O/C potential. (I'm still waiting on the liquid cooler for my processor)

Gone? There are plenty of those cards out there.

Theyre both great cards, but I recommend the 750ti or if you can swing it, the 7870

750 Ti? It's a nice little card, but it's no match for a R9-270. And the R9-270 is a re-badged HD 7870.
