NETFLIX is capable of streamimg 1000's of different videos on demand to different customers ata the same time. Netflix does this over the internet or world wide web.Now i want to host several videos on demand for students to access in a location where there is no internet. I plan to fllow the following steps:
1. set up a webserver
2. set up a youtubelike or netflix like website on the web server.
3. set up a streaming server like fms or wowza or kaltura.
NOW the problem is this i want student to be able to access the videos on my website (hosted locally) form the server through a wifi hotspot .There will be no internet connection where i want to do this. My worry is this suppossing this is possible. Could i have many concurrent viewers on my locally website watching different videos at the same time like netflix or youtube using WIFI?
Thank you Guys

You could try to go fancy but if you have simple files that are already encoded in the proper video format it will be much easier to let the users share a drive off your server and directly play the files with one of the many media players. This does not have any dependency on the internet and there is no cost because you are just using file sharing.
