Graphics Upgrade or wait

I have a Ice-Q OC HD5770 currently in my rig. My ending goal is to get 1 GPU for 4K gaming. But I keep getting mixed up by people telling me the 780 TI will not run 4k a 60 FPS and neither will the titan black, so I thought about waiting. Does it make sense to go out and get a 750 TI, 760, or maybe a R7 260x just to get me by for a while. So far the games I play are mostly old but I want to play titan fall and don't feel like my current 5770 will work all that great.

    I'd wait, currently only dual 780 Ti's or 290X's can maintain 60+fps at 4K

Titanfall should work decent at low to medium settings on your 5770 though, so I wouldn't buy a filler card--just wait til the next crop of ultra high-end GPUs lands is my advice!
  2. If you can afford to get a GTX 760, and get the proper GPU setup when you run 4k res, then go for it.

If I recall, I remember seeing a few 4K benchmarks, and SLI 780 (Ti? I forget) are pretty much the bare minimum for 4k res, and that won't be maxed out either.

  5. Well then I guess I have to increase my budget to $1400, I would rather get dual 780 TI's than waste money on a filler card. Just wish they had 4gb+ of vram. I guess I can wait a little longer and see if they release a higher model. They just announced Titan-Z so maybe they have another right behind it. honestly wanting something like the GTX 690 but refreshed.
