Looking for an efficient cpu for a student .Which is best?

Such person wants to execute several programs at the same time : go on netflix, run an antivirus
and read incoming emails.

for those purposes the cheaper of the two will be sufficient.

any modern intel pentium, or i3 processor will be fine, i5 and i7 are overkill, and amd too power hungry (in my opinion).

Just brought a Lenovo G500 for a friend and they are very happy with it.

pentium is better.

the A6 will play games better, but the cpu part is not good at all.
There are several i3 laptops that can be found for $400 or less and will be a nice step up from that pentium
