I currently have a:
Cyberpower Pc GUA 250
AMD FX(tm)-4100 Quard Core Processor 3.60GHz
DDR3 SDRAM
Installed Memory 8gb
Turbolink atx- tl500w -bk 500w psu
Geforce GT520

I am completely new to trying any upgrade to my desktop, so any help would be appreciated! I did contact Cyberpower and they suggested upgrading my psu to a 600w. I would like to stay within a about a $200 budget for both psu and graphics card (if possible). I have been looking at a SeaSonic S12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply and GIGABYTE GV-R726XOC-1GD Radeon R7 260X 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready. Will that combination work? I mostly do just casual online mmorpg gaming - just want decent frame rates and high graphics. If something else would be better (within budget) please let me know...I'm a little lost on all this.

this psu will be more than enough for your system and the 750 ti

or you can pay a little extra and get a really good psu

i would replace it even though the 750ti only...

Thanks for taking the time to respond - I actually asked Cyberpower specifically about the geforce gtx 750 and 750ti and this was their response: "Thank you for contacting CyberpowerPC. The two video cards have a power requirement of 450 W on the system but need at least an overhead of 100W. You will need a 600 Watt power supply at least to work with the system. The GUA250 usually come with a 500 W power supply."

This is why I am confused....*sigh*.

wellllll, you "should" have some over head. what psu do you have can you open the side of your case and look at it for the make/model. also any 12v rail info that is on the psu would greatly help

basically your cpu is 95watt tdp
your mem/chipset tdp will be no more than 84watt
a 750 is a 65watt card
this is 244 watt(20.33a) draw on max load i doubt that it will stress your 500w powersupply enough to fail even if it is a low quality psu.

they are probably telling you this to cover their butts for putting a low quality psu in your system

It's an Apevia Turbolink ATX-TL500w-BK, I don't have the 12v rail info (I haven't taken the side panel off as of yet) and I can't even find it on the Apevia website. I did just read a review on the same make only 450w that said it actually can't deliver more than 240w - not sure how that would scale with the 500w that I currently have.

i would replace it even though the 750ti only pulls around 40 watts more than your current card because it will eventually die probably sooner than later. if you have been experiencing any freezing or stuttering in windows it is likely due to this psu
