Hello,

Both my USB wired and wireless mice are no longer working in my laptop. They were working fine up until yesterday when I went to plug the mouse into the laptop and it was un-responsive. They both light up to show they are on, and receiving from the laptop. However, when I move the mouse or click the buttons, nothing happens.

I tried my boyfriends USB wireless mouse, and it installed the drivers for it, and it worked. I then plugged in my wired mouse and it began working. I unplugged his and mine still worked.

Though today, when I went to plug either of the mice in, neither of them work. It is really random and I have never even heard of this problem before.

I have tried browsing the forums for this issue, and while I have noticed some, they were all different circumstances and unsolved.

Both work in zero of the 3 USB ports. I also tried restarting my computer, sadly that also didn't work :<

Have you tried uninstalling the drivers?

There are no drivers for them when I checked, also they don't come up in device manager/

Try uninstalling the generic USB controller and restart your machine. Windows should pick it up and reinstall the drivers for it

You can try another mouse ,if it is till not use ,so the computer system has something wrong;if another mouse can use in your pc,so your mouse is broken.
