Hello guys, my first post on this site.
I'm from Thailand and planing to build a gaming rig for my brother with these following specs...
CPU : AMD FX-8350
GPU : Sapphire R9 280X Toxic
MB : ASRock Fatal1ty 990FX Killer
RAM : Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR3(1866) 8GB x 2
HDD : Seagate 1TB SATA
ODD : LG DVD-RW 24x
Cooler Master Hyper 212X
I'm looking at a 650W XFX ProSeries XXX Edition with 80+ Bronze and wondering that this PSU should be enough to handle all the components or not. I'm going to OC both the CPU and the GPU as far as I can push it and in the future I may add another HDD for RAID0 or a SSD to run the OS, and no more. So, should I get the 650W or I have to go with a 750W which is recommended on Sapphire website and that makes me confused. The budget is not my problem, I just want the best one that I'm not wasting my money on it or overkill. There are also some PSU from Seasonic and Corsair. So tell me if there is a better choice. Please help me out, any suggestion will be appreciated and thanks in advance.
650W XFX ProSeries XXX Edition < Perfect choice made by SEASONIC , buy it.
More than enough power to spare.
Hello again, I'm planing to sell the 280X toxic and buying a PowerColor R9 290 PCS+. Is this PSU still good to go? or I have to change it. The rest of the build is still the same. Very much thanks in advance.
