I've come to the point that I'm getting really distracted about this, so I came here to answer the question -.-
In cards like the 770 and 760, is there any way to get the nvidia designs of the cards or do I need to get the Asus, Gigabyte and or Palit designs of them.
Thanks.

Generally the non-reference designs offer better cooling than the reference designs(what you are referring to as the nVidia designs in this case). Do you need them? No. Are they generally better, yes. nVidia designs are generally better than their Amd Radeon counterparts, so the difference isn't going to be as great when compared to a non-reference design. However, if the pricing is equal, there is honestly no reason to NOT buy a non-reference design card. I.e., Gigabyte's 3 fan design designated as the "Windforce", or some-such type design.

Nvidia don't sell graphics cards to us, but they design the reference design and their partners make it, such as this;

Reference designs usually don't have optimal coolers, but the Nvidia ref cooler is far better than the AMD ref cooler.

Their partners then make cards with aftermarket coolers such as in my avatar. Sapphire has bolted this large 3 fan cooler onto the reference designed board, but often they change the board design too, generally making improvements for overclocking.

Aftermarket coolers usually work far better than reference coolers. The R9-290 as a reference design was notoriously hot (95C) and noisy and throttled when pushed, however with the Sapphire cooler, it can be o/c'd, remains cooler (70C) and is very quiet.

The advantage of both the Nvidia and AMD reference coolers is that they vent the hot air out of the case and although it keeps your case a bit cooler, it compromises their effectiveness. With a decently cooler case, it's not an issue anyway.
