I have a 64 gig SSD and a (1) terabyte HDD..

i have over 800 gigs on my hdd left but only 13 gigs on SSD so i would like to make my default drive my HDD so that no hell breaks loose from not enough storage all my attempts fail.. (i have my OS on ssd)

default drive means programs automatically download themselves on my hdd (H: ) not my ssd (C: )

More about : make default drive hdd ssd

Programs will only automatically install to the OS drive. You can only change the destination when you're installing programs. I'm not aware of any tweaks to make it default to the storage drive right off the bat.

For application installs, choose where they go.
For documents, etc, see these:

Win 7 & 8: http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-1834397/ssd-redirect...
Win 8.1: http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2024314/windows-redi...

Very, very few don't let you choose.
As for lazy.....that's all on you.
