AE error says on the screen "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key" I looked up the error in the manual and it says it's a legacy boot event error. If I insert windows 7 into the computer and boot it up etc I can get it to the point of where I need the hdd because apparently that is not being detected. I can also access the bios but in there again the hdd is not being detected. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I can list the specs and parts I used if you need that.

Hello, It would be useful for the parts list just incase something is causing compatibility issues. Anyway, here is a list of problems that could cause your bios to not recognise your hdd:

1)Drive not enabled in the BIOS
2)Serial ATA drivers are not properly installed
3)Faulty or unplugged data cable
4)Drive is not spinning up
5)Incorrect jumper settings on the drive
6)Faulty hard drive

Aswell as this, check your bios to make sure it is fully working and updated as this can be a large issue with some motherboards. Hope it helps.
