IS this a pretty good system build?

Solution
Did you already buy it? There are some things I'd tweak on it honestly.

Tweaking it slightly can save some money.

The green series is supposedly the best psu they got, plus i think its about 100w more than i need so i think itll be pretty good but im only hoping that

its a really solid build, will max out whatever you throw at it im sure. Is it for just gaming or modeling/editing too?

fx8320 over the fx8350 simply to save money. Looks like you are overclocking anyways, so the drop in base mhz isn't going to affect things.

Instead of the ddr3 2400 CAS 10, I'd opt for ddr3 1866 CAS 9 and save the 17 dollars or so.

The WD Black is a nice drive, but the decrease in access times doesn't really justify the 30 dollars more that it is. If you really want a 5 year warranty over the 3 year, then I understand that. Otherwise, save the money.

Why Win8 instead of Win8.1? I see no reason to get the older release, and you are spending more for it.

20w more from this Antec Psu, and you get semi-modularity as well. Plus, I'd rather trust Antec over Rosewill to power my 'puter. Same overall price.

Put some of the money back into the build though in the form of a Gigabyte 990fx motherboard. The 990fx overclocks better than a 970, and since we saved some money we could afford it, and still come out quite a bit cheaper.

I'll probably learn how to overclock eventually though, This is going to be a pretty bad ass rig though, i switched the 2400 to ram to 1600 because my mobo cant even go past 1600

if he has money to spend and is looking for an extreme overclock, he will want the 8350 over the 8320. now i have an 8320 currently outperforming an 8350 at sock, but the 8350's are usually better silicon, and overclock a bit better with less voltage/heat (obviously with the silicon lottery, some 8320s out there will be better than some 8350s, but generally the other way around in terms of silicon quality selection etc).

+1 on the Antec HCG 620W, i have it and its great, quiet, and im pretty sure Seasonic is the OEM for Antecs :]
