radeon 280x needs 2x8 pin connectors can i get an adapter and handle it with 2x 6pin connectors

I have been eying this sapphire card. and from what I can tell its a major overclocker but I have a cooler master 650watt real power pro PSU. what kind of adapters wuld I need to get my 2x6pin graphics card power cords to work with 2x8pin connections wich is what the card needs

I am sorry there aren't any adapter like that. And I couldn't find a card equal to r9 280x with 2x6 molex connectors. They all require 6+8 molex connectors. Guess you should buy a better power supply or buy a little low tech graphic card then r9 280x.

so is there no way around having to upgrade the PSU? surly the psu is adaquit in the short run, question is though would 2x 6pins g-card cords can transform to somthin. I did see where 2 molex plugs had an adapter to make1 8pin plug however I think the psu may only have2 not 4 of the molex plugs

ok so I have found some adapters now question is would they be safe and work without a hitch? does anyone have any experience with this?

yes winterlord that pertectly fine to use...you might not be able to control the speed of the fans manualy through afterburner for example i think they always be on ''auto,, mode...the 2extra pins are usualy for the fans on the cooler...but it should be ok

hmm well fan aint that big of a deal to me however I hope you can still change the voltage?

well if im not mistaken i think those card have built in noob failsafe and they will not let you mess around with the voltage that much unless you flash the bios with a modified one and that would void the warranty of the card...
