AT&T U-Verse and general networking question.

Hello everyone,

So my roommate and I have pretty limited ISPs available in our area. AT&T U-Verse is available and we are thinking that we will go with their Max Plus plan (18 Mbps down). The upload speed is rumored to be 1.5 Mbps.

Are these download and upload speeds good enough for both of us to be gaming on at the same time with Netflix streaming thrown in every now and then? I heard a rumor that upload speed matters a lot with regards to gaming, but I am not sure how true that is.

I will mostly be on PC and PS3, and he will mostly be on Xbox or Netflix if that makes any difference. Thanks for any help!

With online games having low latency is more important than high speeds. My friend and I used to play Diablo III both from my house over a UVerse 12/1.5 connection. It played just fine. You should be good.
